Hi! I’m Chuck Burkins, and this is my home page, more or less.

To learn more about me visit the About page. In short, I’m the C. Burkins who went to school in Chicopee and Wilbraham in Massachusetts, graduated from Cornell in 1987 with a degree in chemistry and spent the next 13 years in Biotech. I started my second career, as a computer professional, just before the dot-com crash. I helped form a team that produced software that is used by several leading companies and retailers. That team still exists as The Friday Group LLC. And now for our next trick we will survive our second recession!

Have a look around. You might find my musings interesting, or perhaps not. They are certainly mine, however. I sometimes will post if I find some (generally unix based) technique useful. I also just keep a list of useful stuff like my Unix One Liners handy on the internet.

I can be found on Facebook, Twitter, and emusic.com’s message boards. I’m burk at boardgamegeek.com. I don’t find time to contribute much to discussions on the internet mailing lists, usenet, or forums any more, but I almost always did so as burk at pobox dot com.
